Various parties have erected hoardings appealing voters to vote in their favour, in view of ensuing elections of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. But sadly MIM which claims to represent the interests of Urdu speaking people has ignored Urdu language. TRS and MIM have set up hoardings and posters on prime spots of the city. TRS has included Urdu language in the hoardings and posters set up not only in old city but in new city also, in order to attract Urdu speaking people; however Muslim minority especially Urdu speaking people were disappointed to see that MIM has ignored Urdu language in its hoardings and posters. Although the party has erected hoardings and posters in Telugu and Hindi besides English, not a single hoarding could be seen in Urdu language.
It must be noted that the then leadership of the party had played significant role in Save Urdu Movement launched under the leadership of Dr. M Channa Reddy in old city but the same party failed to give Urdu language its due place.
