Leader of opposition in Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir said that development of minorities and old city is possible only through Congress party. The measures taken for the development of minorities during Congress rule is evident to all. Congress party provided 4 percent reservations to Muslims in education and employment which is a remarkable achievement. It has provided educational and employment opportunities to thousands of students. M A Shabbir announced his complete support to the 12 % reservation campaign launched by Siasat.
Mr. Shabbir claimed that MIM doesn’t want old city to develop and Muslims to become educated because educational upliftment will create awareness among new generation and they can easily distinguish between right and wrong. Majlis fears that Muslims will no more be their traditional vote bank if they become educated and mature enough.
