MIM will join hands with Congress after 2019 poll: Jana Reddy

Stating that the MIM party would come along with them if Congress party wins 2019 elections, the CLP leader K Jana Reddy has said that no need to surprise if MIM praises ruling party and one has to surprise if MIM not praised ruling party.

In a chitchat with reporters on Thursday, Jana Reddy said that their target was TRS party not MIM. The TRS government allocated 8.5 percent budget to the welfare of Minorities whereas united government allocated 8 percent budget. It was not a big thing to the government to increase .5 percent in the increased budget, he pointed out. It was not correct on the part of MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi to say that MIM was representative of Muslims residing in the state.

Opining that there was no chance of reorganisation of constituencies, Jana Reddy said that the delimitation issue was also similar to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s assurance of 12 percent reservations for Muslims. There was an act that the Assembly seats will not be increased till the year 2026.  The State Reorganisation Act stated that the seats will be increased as per the Act, he said and informed that he spoke with Supreme Court level legal experts on Act. According to them, the Act will applicable to entire country if amended the Act once. There was also no time to amend the Act but it was possible if the centre thinks seriously, he opined and said that the conditions were not in favour of amending the Act now. The Gujarat results will depend upon the public opinion, he said and made it clear that he will not believe in predictions and astrology. (NSS)
