Minister says Jagan putting hurdles in AP’s development

Kadapa (AP): Andhra Pradesh Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao today termed Opposition leader Y S Jaganmohan Reddy as “inexperienced and inefficient” and accused him of creating hurdles in the State’s development.

He also predicted that the ruling Telugu Desam Party will retain power in 2019 Assembly elections.

Addressing a press conference here, Rao praised Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and said under him TDP is working for all-round development of the State.

“Janmabhoomi”, a prestigious programme of TDP, is helping in resolving problems of people. Still Jagan has criticised it, he said.

“Andhra Pradesh is unfortunate to have an inexperienced and inefficient Opposition leader like Jaganmohan Reddy, who is creating hurdles in the State’s development,” Rao said.

Reddy has also opposed Pattiseema, an irrigation project through which the parched Rayalaseema will get water, the new capital city and Polavaram multi-purpose venture, he said.

Naidu will inaugurate the new Collectorate building here on January 9, the Minister announced. Earlier, Rao took part in Janmabhoomi programme at Ramapuram town.
