Minorities Residential Schools, Junior Colleges schedule of admission released

Hyderabad: Govt. of Telangana issued notification for online registration of admissions into Minorities’ Residential Schools and Junior Colleges.

This announcement was made by Mr. AK Khan, IPS Retired, Advisor to Govt. on Minority Affairs and Vice President of Minorities Residential Schools’ Society at a press conference held yesterday. Mr. B. Shafiullah, Secretary of the society was also present at the press conference.

Mr. A.K. Khan and Shafiullah appealed to the students belonging to Muslims, Christians, Parsis, Jains, Sikhs and Buddhists to register applications online. In addition to these minority communities, students belonging to SCs, STs, BCs and OC categories can also file their applications. 75% seats will be reserved for Minorities in these institutions.

Candidates will be admitted in the fifth class. If some seats are available in 6th, 7th and 8th classes, these will be filled up from the above candidates.

For admissions into 1st year of Intermediate, an entrance test will be held.

Interested candidates may obtain application forms from the Principals of these institutions and register them through any internet center on the website http://tmreis.telangana.gov.in/ on or before 31st March 2019.

It may be mentioned that out of 204 residential schools, 107 are for boys and 97 for girls whereas out of 12 junior colleges, 9 are for boys and 3 for girls. Admission test will held on 20th April for admitting candidates into 5th standard whereas another test will be held on 22nd April for admitting candidates into 6th, 7th and 8th classes. The results of these tests will be released on 2nd May. Verification of certificates will be made from 3rd to 10th May. Classes will start on 1st June.

Mr. A.K. Khan also informed that for admissions into junior colleges, online registration can be made from 25th February to 15th March. Entrance test will be held on 13th April and the results will be declared on 2nd May. Verification of certificates will take place from 5th to 15th May. Classes will start on 1st June 2019.

The income of parents and guardians of candidates should not be above 1.5 lakh (Rural areas) and Rs. 2 lakh (Urban areas). The income criteria will not be applicable for the children of Armed Forces and Ex-Servicemen.

Candidates should furnish the proof of date of birth, Aadhar number, income and other details.

Candidates who pass SSC annual exam of 2019 with 6.0 grade or above and whose age is not above 18 years as on 31st August 2019 are eligible to seek admissions in Intermediate 1st year course.
