Hyderabad: In Bharat Colony of Rakshapuram area at Santosh Nagar in Old City, panic prevailed among the residents when some unknown miscreants installed an idol in the municipal park.
When the morning walkers found an idol in the park, they got surprised. Police was informed. Within no time, crowd consisting of people from both the groups gathered there.
DCP of South Zone, Mr. V. Satyanarayana reached the spot and posted police force there.

After a preliminary inquiry, police registered a case against unknown miscreants under sections 295 (A) and 448 of IPC and started investigations. DCP of South Zone negotiated with members of both the communities and dispersed them.
Authentic sources indicated that the idol was removed by the police late at night.
