M&M to come out with electric variant of KUV

Mumbai: Automobile major Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M) on Tuesday said that it will come out with the electric variant of its compact sports utility vehicle KUV in about a year’s time.

The company’s plans about the electric variant of its KUV were revealed here by M&M’s Managing Director Pawan Goenka.

Goenka spoke on the sidelines of an event here to unveil the “New KUV100 NXT” which is available in five variants, namely, “K2 & K2+, K4+, K6+ and K8 in both petrol and diesel with 5 and 6 seater options”.

The KUV100 NXT start at Rs 4.39 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi) for the K2 variant.

Speaking at the launch of KUV100 NXT, Goenka said: “The KUV100 created a new category with an SUV in the price segment of Rs 4.5 – Rs 7.5 lakh.”

“With its unique proposition, I firmly believe that the KUV100 NXT will reaffirm our customers’ faith in Mahindra’s abilities to create class leading products.”

Launched in January 2016, the KUV100 has created a new SUV segment.
