Modi follows footsteps of George Bush, spreads fake and spurious news: Kanhaiya Kumar

Hyderabad: Mr. Narendra Modi has adopted the ideology of George Bush. George Bush had taken a harsh stand against Al-Qaida and Taliban since they were against the US. BJP is giving an impression that its supports are patriots and others are the sympathizers of Pakistan.

These comments were made by Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar while responding to a question put to him at the function, “Meet the Press” organized by Telangana Union of Working Journalists on 2nd October in Hyderabad.

Mr. Kumar told that BJP is dividing people into its supporters and opponents. He declared that his battle against irregularities will continue and all the corrupt practices would be exposed.

He said that these days, fake and hate news are making rounds to create fear among the people. CPI and other political parties are continuing their battle against corruption. The irregularities are not new phenomena but the present irregularities are extending the benefits only to two corporate houses which have control over 80% of the resources of the country.

He highlighted the role of media and said that it is the fourth pillar of democracy without which it cannot be strong. For the deterioration of values, journalists should raise their voice since their freedom is being curtailed. Due to the control of the government on corporate bodies, the facts are not being exposed.

Mr. D. Amar, Mr. K. Srinivas Reddy, Mr. Rahat Ali, Mr. Faiz Mohammed Asghar, Mr. Riyaz Ahmed and other members of the union were present on this occasion.

Continuing his talk, Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar told that in order to cover up its failures, BJP is preparing favourable atmosphere. He told that those who expose irregularities are the true patriots.

Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar was presented with a Charminar memento.
