Modi govt destroyed nation: CPI

CPI National General Secretary Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy today accused Modi government of authoritarian, dictatorial and leading to fascist take over. RSS with its fascistic ideology is in direct control of Modi government, which is turning to be fascistic. Hence Left needs to unleash more massive and militant struggle to bring relief to different sections of people in the country and counter the fascistic offensive.

Addressing at the CPM 22nd national conference meeting here, Sudhakar Reddy extended revolutionary greetings to the party. He also said that the CPI 23rd Congress will take place at Kollam in Kerala after four days of the CPM meeting. He said that the Modi government in the last four years, brought disaster to the nation, with naked communalism, intolerance, pro-corporate, anti-people economic policies and tilting the independent foreign policy towards US, Isreal and other such forces.

“Intellectuals are targeted among writers, scientists, university professors, student leaders are targeted and murders of prominent rationalists, like Narendra Dabolkar, Govind Pansare, Prof. Kalburgi, Gowri Lankesh and others including fearless journalists are causing serious concern. Dalits and minorities are hunted with vengeance. 30 people were killed by Gau-Rakshaks in which 24 are from minorities. Hundreds of attacks have taken place. There is no punishment in such cases. A big section of Media both electronic and print which are dominated by corporates is in the control of RSS, spreading false information. Religious divide is making room for aggressive communal attacks and pointing them as communal clashes. Notebandi and GST made life of common people more miserable and corruption is increasing abnormally.

The Economic policies of the present government helped corporates, big business while masses are exploited and pauperized 71% of National wealth is concentrated in the hands of 1% rich in our country and 36 families are the biggest beneficiaries of wealth concentration. Sangh Parivar, which runs government through remote control is now directly dictating policies and its people entered the important government positions Raj Bhavans, Universities and all other important institutions in the country.

“We are meeting at a very critical period in the socio-economic and political life of our country, and an adverse international situation. Right reactions, racism, with the direct support of imperialist forces are on offensive in USA and European continents. The crisis of capitalism which brought miseries to billions of people harvested rich dividends to corporates and finance capital. Concentration of wealth in the hands of small percentage of rich is widening the gap between the rich and poor.

The meeting was attended by national general secretary Sitaram Yechuri, Dipankar Bhattacharya, General Secretary CPI (ML), GR Sivashankaran, senior leader-Forward Bloc, Manoj Bhattacharya, Secretary, -RSP, Ashish Bhattacharya, senior leader- SUCI and other delegates. (NSS)
