Gujarat Assembly election results have proved that BJP has lost its charm in India. The party has failed to win its home ground where it was in power for 22 years. BJP had said it would not celebrate if they won less than 150 seats. Now, they were not able to cross even the 100-figure mark. This is not a good sign for BJP. The results also showed that Modi-Shah duo was a complete flop. Even as the party is able to form the government in Gujarat it suffered a humiliating defeat in the elections and Modi has lost Gujarat morally. It is the weakest government in 22 years. Even in Vadnagar, which is Modi’s hometown, they lost to a Congress candidate.
Though BJP had left no stone unturned and 50 ministers had encamped in Gujarat, it has suffered a major setback in the elections. As stated by Congress, they have lost a morcha but not the battle.
Gujarat people rejected all the policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They have given their mandate against the Prime Minister. Gujarat results are a big question mark on the development model of Modi.
