Bahraich: The political fight which began over ‘donkey’ remark took another turn on Thursday when Prime Minister Narendra Modi taunted Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, saying the Congress, with which the Samajwadi Party is in alliance with, is the same party which took out postal stamps of donkeys in 2013.
“The party with which you have allied with is the same UPA government which issued out a postal stamp on Gujarat’s donkeys in 2013,” Prime Minister Modi said while addressing a rally here.
Using the same to take a jibe at Akhilesh, Prime Minister Modi said the former has applied his casteism mentality among animals also, due to which he is detesting donkeys.
Taking one step further, the Prime Minister said a donkey is loyal to his master and fulfils all his responsibilities.
Shifting his focus on the recent SP leader Gayatri Prajapati’s involvement in a rape case, Prime Minister Modi scoffed that two people are chanting only the former’s name.
“Those who chant Prajapati’s name and ask for reason behind filing FIR against him, are the ones responsible for crushing people’s expectations,” he said.
The Prime Minister further pledged to change the face of Uttar Pradesh and give the poor what was looted by the past governments in the past 70 years. (ANI)
