Mohammed Ali Shabbir asks KCR to practice mature politics

Kamareddy: Leader of the Opposition in the Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir today slammed Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for deciding to approach Supreme Court against the Centre slapping Goods and Services Tax (GST) on construction materials of irrigation projects.

Addressing party workers meeting here today, Shabbir Ali said KCR blamed the Congress approaching the courts as hurdles in the path of Telangana development. But now KCR was talking of going to Supreme Court on GST issue. He also clarified that Congress was approaching courts on issues of public importance as a fundamental duty and right of the individuals.

“Congress party in Telangana was doing public service by raising issues of public importance”, he said. The Leader of the Opposition advised the Chief Minister to practice mature, decent and people-oriented politics, which was the real Tehzeeb (culture) of Telangana. (NSS)
