“Money Politics” won’t run in Congress: Sarve

Suggesting to the party to field Sabitha Indra Reddy from Chevella Parliamentary constituency instead of her son Karthika Reddy, former Union Minister Sarve Sathyanarayana has sarcastically said that “money politics” will not run in the party. AICC secretary party leader Boseraj have about Rs 1000 crore and he will not encourage money politics to influence on tickets allocation, Sarve said.

Participating in the Chevella, Malkajgiri Parliamentary Constituencies level review meeting at Indira Bhavan here on Tuesday, Sarve asked the party to give Vikarabad ticket to former minister Gaddam Prasad. He also said former minister Chandrasekhar, who worked with TDP and TRS parties in the past, was expecting Vikarabad Assembly ticket and has strength to win the Vikarabad seat. At this juncture, Sabitha Indra Reddy followers demanded the party leaders to field Sabitha Indra Reddy for MLA seat.

However, former MLA Koona Srisailam Goud criticized Sarve and said the party will not wrest power if intra-party feuding goes on. He demanded that the party give ticket to only winning horses. He also guessed that some Congress leaders might leave the State in the event of Congress losing in the 2019 elections.

Bose Raju collected the information on the status of the party in Chevella and Malkajgiri Parliamentary constituencies. Rangareddy district Congress party in-charge DK Aruna, MLA T Rammohan Reddy, DCC Chief Kyama Mallesh, former MLAs D Sudhir Reddy, K Laxma Reddy, Bikshapathi Yadav, former Mayor Banda Karthika Reddy and others participated.
