Hyderabad: In a tragic incident which took place at Kulsumpura area of Old City, a woman poisoned her 5-month old son and later committed suicide.
According to the details of the incident, Shweta Rani, a resident of Bheem Nagar, Kulsumpura poisoned her son and later hung herself. The incident came to be known when her husband Shapan Kumar reached home. He shifted his wife and child to the hospital where the doctors declared brought dead. However, the reasons for taking this extreme step by the woman could not be known. Police registered a case and started investigations.
