Bhopal: The newly elected chief minister of Congress party which returned to power after 15 years in Madhya Pradesh has formed a cabinet on December 25. Chief Minister Kamalnath inducted 28 ministers in his cabinet including one Muslim MLA. Arif Aqueel is the first Muslim minister in the state after 15 years.
Arif Aqueel, MLA from Bhopal North, is the lone Muslim face in the new council of ministers. He was first elected MLA in 1990 from north Bhopal. He had contested as independent in 1990 defeating Congress candidate.
2 women have also been inducted in the cabinet. Governor Anandiben Patel administered the oath of office to the new ministers at the Raj Bhavan.
