Muddu slams Jagan for raising anti-defection law change instead of helping govt to secure more Central aid

TDP MLC and former minister Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu has alleged that YSR Congress Party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy raised the issue of amending anti-defection law instead of helping the State government in getting more Central funds for development of the residual State.

Speaking to the media here on Sunday, Gali said the YSRCP chief was not able to digest the monumental development works initiated by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. He alleged that 20 MLAs of YSRCP have quit that party and joined TDP due to the dictatorial attitude of Jaganmohan Reddy. He also recalled that late chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy had brazenly encouraged defections by his “Operation Attraction” during his regime in then united Andhra Pradesh. Ridiculing Jagan’s perception on Swiss challenge, Gali said the Centre wanted to develop 12 smart cities and 12 new financial mandals under the system.

The former minister also accused Jagan of provoking MRPS leader Mandakrishna Madiga in the name of classification of SCs. He pointed out that it was Chandrababu Naidu, who had initiated the SC caterorisation in 2002 and enabled many students to get seats in medical colleges and government jobs. However, the Supreme Court has revoked the categorization on technical grounds. He also alleged that Mandakrishna Madiga has become a pawn in the hands of Jagan. (NSS)
