Hyderabad: Noted humour writer Mr. Mujtaba Husain, in a press note stated that Zinda Dilan-e-Hyderabad was founded half a century ago. Several Hyderabadi artists had played an important role in making it, an institution of international standard. Prominent creative writers associated themselves with the institution and they conducted meetings and mushairas on large scale. As a result Hyderabad was being called the capital of comedy.
Sadly during the recent past the institution has seen a diminution and there are no signs of improvement as there is a paucity of creative writers in the field of humour and satire.
In this scenario Mujtaba Husain has decided to resign from the post of President of Zinda Dilan-e-Hyderabad.
