Thane: In a rage to take revenge, a class X student allegedly strangulated a 2-year-old toddler on Sunday after the victim’s mother scolded her.
The shocking incident was reported from Tulai village, where the Murbad police in the district detained the girl student for killing the toddler.
According to the police, 2-year-old toddler Manishka went missing near her house on Saturday and search was launched in the area said inspector Ajay Vasave of the local police, news18 reported.
The toddler was later found dead, concealed in the teenager’s house who lived nearby after the police suspected her involvement in the little child’s sudden disappearance.
The deceased toddler had been apparently strangulated said the police who are now waiting for the autopsy report.
A case of murder under IPC section 302 was filed against the accused. Investigations revealed, the accused teenager was scolded by the victim’s mother a few days ago and the girl wanted to take revenge which allegedly led her to commit the crime.
