Mumbai: Gangster Dawood’s assets sold for 11 crores

New Delhi: The Saifee Burhani Upliftment Trust (SBUT) on Monday has reportedly bought three assets belonging to Fugitive Dawood Ibrahim in Mumbai.
The Finance Ministry had auctioned the assets under the Smugglers and Foreign Exchange Manipulators (Forfeiture of Property)Act-SAFEMA.
According to the sources, the three assets located in South Mumbai includes – Hotel Raunaq Afroz, Shabnam Guest House and six rooms in Damarwala building which were estimated to be around Rs 11.58 crore.
The Hotel Raunaq Afroz was estimated at a bid of Rs 4.53 crore while the Guest House Shabnam went up for Rs 3.52 crore and the rooms in Damarwala building were bought for Rs 3.54 crore.
Fugitive Dawood Ibrahim’s brother Iqbal Kaskar who recently got arrested in an extortion case has reportedly confessed to having had a conversation with Gangster Dawood over the past few years.
His brother Iqbal has reportedly provided Dawood’s addresses in Karachi.
