Muslim delegation to meet Sri Sri Ravi Shankar on Babri Masjid issue

Lucknow: An important meeting for ‘out of court’ settlement of Babri Masjid issue will be held on Thursday at Lucknow. Muslim dignitaries including Salman Husaini Nadwi (Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulama), Congress leader Anees Ansari (former IA and former Vice-Chancellor Urdu Arabic Persian University), Athar Husain (General Secretary, Centre for Objective Research and Development) and Mohammed Imran advocate will attend the meeting. Besides some faces from Gujarat and Delhi will also be the part of the meeting. The inclusion of former secretary of Darul Uloom Deoband, Ghulam Mohammed Vastanvi who was expelled for his controversial remark is being ensured.

According to reliable sources two meetings have already been held with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar on January 20 and February 3 respectively. Thus the proposed meeting in Bangalore will be the third secret meeting between Muslim delegates and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.

A person who was in the first meeting told on the condition of anonymity that Ravi Shankar told that Muslims should forget that Babri Masjid will be constructed at the same place. According to him, Ravi Shankar was urging Muslims to first withdraw their claim on Babri Masjid then other things will be sorted out.
