Convener National Political Unity Campaign Ismail Batliwala stressed the need for a united platform for Muslim Political Parties and social organisations and said that there is UPA and NDA at the centre but there is no united platform of Muslim political parties and leaders. He further said the delegation of National Political Unity Campaign has visited all states of India and met Muslim leaders and intellectuals and invited them to come on a common political platform. In a joint conference at NSS he said our campaign and efforts have been supported by several Muslim political parties, intellectuals and Muslim leaders except a few who have sometimes become puppets in the hands of Congress and sometimes of BJP and bargaining with the interest of Muslims. He said we have kept the door of united platform open for all.
