Muslim prisoner dies in hospital, family accuses police

Kota: A Muslim prisoner by name, Mohammed Ramzan (55) died in a hospital in Rajasthan. He died due to multiple organ failure.

According to the report published in Business Standard, the deceased’s family members alleged that police had thrashed him.

On the other hand, police said that the inmate had died due to prolonged illness. As Ramzan was suffering from severe kidney problem, he was admitted to the New Medical College Hospital (NMCH) on 25th April. He died in the hospital on Friday.

It may be mentioned that Ramzan was native of Mangroi Town of Baran District, Rajasthan.

In order to know the reason behind his death, a judicial investigation was initiated. Postmortem was also conducted.

As per Caravan Daily‘s report, in the video which went viral on social media, Ramzan had alleged that he was beaten up by jail guards eight times.
