Hyderabad: The then Chairman of Minorities Commission, Justice Mohammed Ahmed Ansari had already recommended reservations for Muslims in 1978. This report was accepted by the Govt. As a protest, Justice Ansari tendered his resignation which was accepted within few minutes. In his place, Mr. Asif Pasha, Former Law Minister of A.P. was appointed as Chairman of Minorities Commission. The Congress CM of A.P., Mr. T. Anjaiah who used to claim a friend of Muslims kept quiet .
This file is missing from secretariat. When Muslim organizations made an attempt to find an access to the report , GAD officials pleaded ignorance of such record. It is understood that Govt. officials deliberately misplaced the report.
