Video: Muslim woman thrown out of Trump’s rally for silent protest

South Carolina: A Muslim woman was escorted from Donald Trump’s campaign event in South Carolina on Friday after she stood up in silent protest.

Rose Hamid, a 56-year-old flight attendant was sitting in the stands behind Trump in the rally did not say anything but stood up when the billionaire suggested Syrian refugees fleeing a civil war were affiliated with the Daesh (ISIS) terrorist group.

Hamid said that the only purpose of her attending the rally was to make personal connections with the attendees, so that they might gain a deeper understanding of Muslims.

“I figured that most Trump supporters probably never met a Muslim so I figured that I’d give them the opportunity to meet one,” she said, wearing a shirt that read “Salam, I come in peace.” “I really don’t plan to say anything. I don’t want to be disrespectful but if he says something that I feel needs answering I might — we’ll just see what strikes me.”

“My thoughts were, if they actually met Muslims, then they wouldn’t be so afraid,” she added.

Despite her silence, Trump supporters shouted at Hamid. One person shouted, “You have a bomb, you have a bomb,” CNN reported.

“The ugliness really came out fast and that’s really scary,” she told after she was escorted.

“There is a hatred against us that is unbelievable,” Trump said after Hamid was ejected. “It’s their hatred, not our hatred.”
