Muslims should make bold representations for 12% reservations – Amer Ali Khan

Hyderabad: To refer the issue of 12% reservation of Muslims to the Central Govt. would be “No-Entry” and the formation of BCs Commission would be “Right-Entry” since  Govt. does not have to face legal complications if a recommendation is made by BCs Commission for providing 12% reservations to Muslims. These thoughts were expressed by Mr. Amer Ali Khan, News Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily. He was addressing a large gathering organized by Movement for Peace and Justice at Sanga Reddy in Medak District in Islamic Center.
Mr. Malik Mohtasin Khan, Secretary of the association, Mr. Mufti Aslam Qasmi, Secretary of  Telangana Union of Working Journalist, Mr. Abdul Qader Faisal, Staff Reporter of Siasat and Mr. Abdul Kareem were present in the meeting. Mr. M.G. Anwar, President of MPJ presided over the meeting and conducted the program.

Continuing his speech, Mr. Amer Ali Khan told that it is the responsibility of TRS Govt. to fulfill its promise for providing 12% reservation for Muslims. For this purpose, the matter should be referred to Central Govt. BJP is the ruling party in the center. Muslims have no faith in that party. If this issue is referred to Central Govt. it will be sent to “No-entry”. If State Govt. constitutes BCs Commission, such an action would be termed as “Right-Entry”. There are many reports and recommendations for providing reservations to Muslims. According to the reports, there are 41 lakh graduates among the SCs whereas there are only 28 lakh Muslim graduates.

The recommendations and statistics of Sudheer Committee can also be helpful for providing 12% reservation but this committee has no power to make such a recommendation.

Mr. Amer Ali Khan further told that Muslims have to make bold representations for getting 12% reservations. If they do so, they will get benefit three times and 50 thousand Muslim families will get these benefits. 25-30 thousand students would get admissions in professional colleges at the cost of the Govt. the political party which got the friendship of the ruling party also got transport for ridding. Muslims can take any political party to the portals of power but they also have the power to de-throw them.

Mr. Amer Ali Khan pointed out that by enacting various laws, lands were taken away from the Muslims. The demolition of Babri Masjid is condemnable but after this consciousness of the Muslims was awaken and after communal riots in Gujarat, Muslims got united. Whenever there was a need for any support, Siasat Urdu Daily extended its hands. After Muzaffarnagar riots, Siasat Urdu Daily established a school where 450 Muslim students are studying. After the earthquake in Kashmir, a hospital was constructed.

He thanked Jamat-e-Islami for supporting this movement. Mr. Malik Mohtasim Khan of Jamat-e-Islami congratulated Mr. Amer Ali Khan for taking up this campaign.
