Nagam joins Congress before Rahul Gandhi

BJP senior leader Dr Nagam Janardhan Reddy joined Congress party today in the presence of AICC Chief Rahul Gandhi at AICC office. At the same time, balladeer Gaddar’s son Surya Kiran, another BJP leader and businessman Adi Srinivas also joined the Congress.

Speaking on the occasion, Nagam Janardhan Reddy said as the BJP has become a friendly party to the ruling TRS in the State, he was constrained to quit BJP and join the Congress party. “I will strive to bring the Congress back to the power. Nobody opposed my entry into Congress. Rahul Gandhi made it clear that he would extend full cooperation to me when I sought the high command’s cooperation. I will launch movements against rampant corruption in the irrigation projects in the Telangana State”, he said.
Surya Kiran said he has his father’s blessings in joining Congress party. He said he liked Rahul Gandhi’s “Save Constitution” slogan and joined the Congress. Making it clear that he was not a Maoist party member, Surya Kiran said he has strong belief in vote-politics. He said he was ready to contest anywhere if party directs him.
Adi Srinivas said Congress was the only alternative to the TRS in the State. The BJP was not organizing movements against the State government on public issues. “I returned to my own party. I will contest from the Vemulavada constituency if the high command gives a ticket”, he said and informed that his fight against Vemulawada MLA Chennamaneni Ramesh’s dual citizenship.
On the other hand, TPCC official spokesperson Krishank gave an ultimatum to the party that he will contest from Cantonment constituency at any cost whoever joined in the party.
