Naidu asks officials to adopt new practices for effective implementation of programs

AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed district administrations to adopt innovative practices for effective implementation of the welfare schemes.

During a teleconference with the officials, Naidu said the officials must step away from the routine and give way for creativity and innovation. He also directed the officials to take immediate action against complaints on the distribution of pension, loan waiver and ration cards. “Update data on a real time basis and use technology to achieve better and faster results,” he said. The Chief Minister noted that many pensioners in the State were spending their own money on buying medicines. “Use Grama Sabhas as a platform to create awareness on the government’s free medicine distribution,” he said, adding this would not exhaust their savings. The Chief Minister also ordered the officials concerned to investigate on the reports about mixing bran with wheat flour in Chandranna Kanuka in Vizianagaram district.

Later, the Collectors elaborated on the progress of the Janma Bhoomi – Maa Vooru program in 13 districts. (NSS)
