My name is Aslam Khan and I’m not a man: Addl. DCP of Delhi on Women’s Day

New Delhi: On the occasion of International Women’s Day organized with the support of Delhi Police, Ms. Aslam Khan, Addl. DCP-I North, Delhi Police caught the attraction of the people when people noticed her name tag. It was Aslam Khan looking like the name of a man. She clarified to the people that her parents thought that if male child was born, they would name him Aslam. But fortunately or unfortunately for them, a girl child was born. However, they continued with the name of a boy which still she bears.

Her father had a dream of sending her to the Army but she ended up as an IPS officer instead.
