Narayana for abolition of Governor Post

CPI National Secretary Dr K Narayana today demanded immediate abolition of Governors posts in the states as it is mere wastage of money. In a press note here he said that the Governors are turning out to be political brokers instead of being bridges between the President and the States. He found fault with a meeting of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu with Governor ESL Narasimhan. This meeting by the Governor was to appease the Centre and the President which is wrong he said. Though there is no need for recalling the Governors the posts should be abolished in toto he demanded.

He also slammed the Centre for failing to settle the critical issue of Kaveri among Tamil Nadu and Karnatka. Keeping an eye on Karnataka elections the BJP Government is not taking necessary steps in this regard he fumed. A wide variety of protests by Tamil Nadu farmers failed to bring together the political parties to fight for the cause. AIDMK is adopting suicidal policy as failing to follow Jayalalitha steps to join the people struggle for solution. He said that CPI 23rdCongress will be conducted in Kollam in Kerala followed by a Jatha from Puducherry where 22nd party Congress took place. Narayan also said that the party will evolve a future program to dethrone BJP govt which is rabid communal and pro corporate and above all corrupt one. The BJP is not like just other ruling parties. It is totally different politically, socially, economically and judicially also. This anti people BJP should be thrown out. (NSS)
