Massachusetts [US]: If you are a middle aged person, loved to spend much of the time on the couch watching TV and neglects regular exercise, then you may face many health issues including a reduction in the volume of the brain.
According to a recent study, if middle aged persons neglect exercise, their brain could get shrink, Voa News reports.
It is also reported that researchers from Boston University School of Medicines after research came to a conclusion that the brain’s volume of middle aged persons who are not fit decreases after 20 years.
Nicole Spartano, one of the researchers in the university said that there is a direct relation between fitness and the volume of the brain.
During the study, researchers consider the sample of 15000 people all were of age around 40. They were given a treadmill test. After two decades, on the same group excluding who developed heart disease or high BP, MRI brain scans were conducted.
After the study, researchers found that decrease in exercise reduces the volume of the brain.
