Azure networking is the team behind the cloud and is responsible for delivering over 200 Microsoft web portals, Live and Online Services around the world including infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability. For this position, Candidate should be familiar with network protocols, network devices include network interface cards, switches and routers. You should feel comfortable of working with large-scale distributed systems — in managing the network infrastructure that supports the Azure Cloud infrastructure as well as well in designing and building the large-scale distributed systems that manage the network.
Role & Responsibilities:-
Providing Technical Leadership for the Implementation of new and upgraded Data center Network with standard platforms on Network/Servers Technologies, carried out in compliance with best practices
Candidate shall be capable of handling Projects from Design phase to Implementation phase and He/She understand the Network standards along with Strong automation skills
Candidate shall collaborate with Internal Business units and Stakeholders and understand the requirements and deliver efficiently
Automation: Participate in all efforts to automate repetitive tasks to reduce implementation time and to reduce percentage of failures due to human error
Part of Weekly on-call rotation for Network Incident support and Someone who can work to quickly mitigate impacts and restore service availability through a software enabled toolset
Providing technical oversight for capabilities that can only be integrated in pre-prod and prod environments, such as backup and restore.
Skills & Qualifications:-
Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills with the ability to represent complex technical concepts and issues to a geographically diverse audience are required.
In-depth knowledge of modern Internet architectures and associated routing, switching, load-balancing, and security technologies are required.
Multi-vendor networking hardware experience including Cisco ,Arista and Juniper is required; SLB/HLB experience considered a plus.
Knowledge and experience with mainstream routing protocols: MPLS, BGP, OSPF, ISIS is required; knowledge and experience with IPv6, VRF, l2vpn, considered a plus as would network port,
device, and bandwidth capacity monitoring & management experience.
The ability to analyze existing processes and procedures and suggest/influence optimization and efficiency changes.
Role requires deep troubleshooting skills with the ability to work with other engineers (often based in other countries) and equipment vendors to resolve complex issues.
Demonstrated competencies as subject matter expert to large-scale strategic initiatives, programs, projects, with customers, peers, and leadership required.
A logical and methodical approach to problem solving
Ability to work with global teams as well as individually with minimum supervision
Capability to multitask, and perform under pressure with changing priorities is essential to this role
Good working knowledge of local and wide area networking
Excellent written / verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills as they will be working with numerous teams within the global organization
Qualifications:-
BA/BS in business, IT or related field
Experience Required:
5-6 Year experienced in Networking Industry or Large Scale Data center network
Experience working with L2/L3 switching platforms, application networking and popular network protocols (STP, BGP, OSPF, VRRP, LACP etc
Experienced on Large scale Data Center/Cloud environment, Understanding on passive components ( UTP Cabling, Optical cabling,SFPs)
Experience on network automation skills with Perl/Python/Power shell /XML programming languages
Excellent communication skills and team player with ability to build solid relationships with individuals at all levels, in multiple geographies and business functions, both internally and externally.
Must possess broad problem solving and analytical skills
Excellent judgment, decision-making skills, and the ability to work under continual deadline pressure when the situation is ambiguous
Strong negotiation skills and conflict management skills
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
