New sewage system to tackle Karnataka waste problem

Hassan (Karnataka): A new system of sewage treatment has been introduced in Karnataka’s Hassan district to curb its waste problem.

A district authority, while talking to ANI, said, “We are trying to set an example to manage and to treat sewage. It’ll keep this place beautiful and help tourism as well.”

He further revealed that the sewage tank was fully automatic.

Rohini Sindhuri, the district collector, said that the new technology will help properly treat the eight lakh-litre waste that was generated from the towns and panchayats.

“The waste generates in the panchayats will now be shifted to the Rachenahalli sewage plant. The plant was in bad condition, now it’ll be cleaned within months,” Sindhuri said. (ANI)
