New UAE visa rules: Good news for “Visit Visa”, “Student Visa” holders – Here’re the details

Abu Dhabi: Federal Authority for Identify and Citizenship (FAIC) has announced that new UAE visa rules will be implemented from 21st October 2018. This new rules will be beneficial for many visa holders especially “Visit Visa” and “Student Visa” holders. It will also benefit divorcees and widows.

According to the report published in Khaleej Times, students who complete Grade 12 or university studies will be given one year visa which can be extended for another one year. However, parents have to deposit Dh 5000 for this visa. Students have to submit certificates to prove that they have studied in UAE.

Visit visa holder can apply for a 30-day extension by paying a fee of Dh 600. This extension is possible twice.

Visa of divorcees and widows will be extended for one year from the date of divorce or death of the spouse.
