Un-named NGO delivers free sehri to Mumbai hospitals

Mumbai: Keeping in consideration the unavailability of nearby hotels at places such as Byculla and Mahim, an NGO that does not want to get publicised has been arranging free sehri (the pre-dawn meal) for patients’ attendants at Mumbai hospitals.

“Alhamdulillah for past few years we are serving sehri to hospitals like KEM, TATA, Wadia, Sion and Nair and others in South Mumbai on request,” says a Facebook post, that also explains the importance of the meal, “Sehri is predawn meal eaten before sunrise (Fajr prayers) and is taken as blessing. It is a very important meal eaten and shouldn’t be skipped.”

The post also mentions how can this NGO be contacted, whose delivery timing is 3 am to 4 am. When The Siasat Daily contacted Abdullah, a volunteer whose number is mentioned in this post as +91 6262 7474 13, he confirmed that the pre-dawn meal is delivered to these five hospitals. Another volunteer whose name is mentioned in the post is Mohammed, who can be reached at +91 6262 7474 31 and +91 9821 25 786 3.
