Nifty trades at 10,600, while Sensex down over 200 points

New Delhi: The markets on Friday witnessed a weak start after it saw a strong Muhurat session.
The Nifty traded at 10,600, while the Sensex fell over 200 points at 35028.22.

Sectors which traded in red included banks, automobiles, consumption, and metal, while pharmaceuticals remained the only gainer.

Shares of Asian Paints, IndusInd Bank, HPCL and IOC remained top gainers, while Bharti Airtel and HDFC lost on the charts, reported the Moneycontrol.

The Indian rupee opened higher by 30 paise at 72.70 per dollar on Friday versus Tuesday’s close of 73 per dollar.
