No discontent, stop false stories, Harish urges Media

Hyderabad: Former minister T Harish Rao today said he was not at all dissatisfied with the denial of minister post in the cabinet expansion taken up by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Tuesday.

Speaking to mediapersons after the swearing in ceremony of the ministers at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday, Harish Rao asked the media, including newspapers, television channels and social media to stop spreading false stories on not giving minister post to him. “I am very happy and will work like a soldier in the TRS party and will abide by the word of the Chief Minister”, he remarked. Condemning misinformation campaign in a section of the media, Harish Rao said the media should try to understand that he was a committed worker of the party and will not go beyond KCR word. The media should refrain from carrying out false news which are against the party leadership, he suggested.

Extending warm greetings to all the members of the cabinet to serve the people at their best, Harish Rao said new cabinet members will bring good name to the State by serving the people. “Time and again I have said I will be with the TRS party until my last breath. Those who have been inducted into the cabinet will work as per the Chief Minister’s directive for developing the State. I will take any responsibility whatever the Chief Minister considers for the welfare of the State”, Harish said, adding that the Chief Minister was making persistent efforts to meet the expectations of the people with a focus on welfare and development. The cabinet members have been selected on the basis of balance on regions and communities, he said. He also called upon the leaders of the ruling party to work under the leadership of KCR for the party and the State.
