No threat to minority status of AMU & JMI: Naqvi

New Delhi: Union minister for minority affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that there is no threat to the minority status of Jamia Millia Islamia and Aligarh Muslim University. He was replying to a question asked during a programme held by Zee Salam.

When asked by the Zee Salam anchor Khursheed Rabbani why the public opinion is such that minority institutions are not safe under Modi government, Naqvi replied it is nothing more than a rumour. He said we are providing 3T (tiffin, toilet & teacher) to Islam madrasas as well.

As far as the case of AMU and JMI is concerned, the issue is not related to our period however he assured that their minority status will not be cancelled.
