Noida: Joyride for three students turns into tragedy for one

Noida: A joyride turned into a tragedy for three students of DPS Indirapuram studying 12th standard after their car reportedly rammed into a divider near Atta underpass on Wednesday night.

Raghav had reportedly lost his life in the accident while his two friends Rehan and Yavesh suffered serious injuries. The trio was immediately rushed to District hospital in Noida’s sector30 were Raghav lost his battle to life at night.

According to the police, Raghav was the one driving the new car — a Ford Figo when the trio got into the accident.

The Police said the car was damaged which trapped the three passengers for nearly fifteen minutes before they were rescued by the Police and rushed to the hospital.

Police also said that the new car belonged to Rehan’s father who had bought it two days ago.
The trio had reportedly taken the car on Wednesday. They drove to DLF Mall, Greater India Place Mall in the evening and later went to Greater Noida.

Abhinandan, circle officer of Noida City-1 said, “The trio was taking a joyride in the newly bought car. Seeing the intensity of the impact, it seems the students were speeding when the accident took place,” HT reported.
