Jammu: Indian Army’s Northern Command chief, Lt Gen Devraj Anbu on Wednesday visited forward areas on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch and Rajouri districts, a defence statement said.
The statement by the Udhampur-headquartered Northern Command said that Anbu visited forward areas in Poonch and Naushera sectors, and reviewed security situation and operational preparedness.
He also commended all ranks for their dedication & professionalism, it added.
The Pakistani Army has been resorting to frequent ceasefire violations on the LoC this year, especially in these two districts.
