Notorious rowdy Khaja Fareeduddin detained under PD Act

City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar, IPS, has invoked PD Act on Khaja Fareed Uddin alias Khaja Fareeduddin Quadri alias Syed Fareed, a rowdy element under Nampally Police limits on March 29.

The Nampally Police served detention order on Khaja Fareed Uddin and lodged him in Chanchalguda Central Jail. Khaja Fareed Uddin is 1084th detenu under PD Act invoked by the Commissioner of Police. Khaja Fareed Uddin, son of Khaja Nayeemuddin, 22, residing at H.No.10-2-54/A/13, Lakshminagar, A-Battery Line, Nampally, is a notorious criminal, who commits dacoity, robberies, chain snatchings and bodily offences under the limits of various police stations in Hyderabad city.

The Commissioner said Khaja Fareed Uddin struck fear in the minds of common public and was involved in 10 cases (one dacoity, one robbery, four chain snatchings, one extortion, one attempt to murder and two criminal intimidation in public places) reported in Hyderabad and Cyberabad Police Commissionerates. Besides, the accused received stolen property i.e. three gold chains pertaining to two robbery cases (one under Mahankali PS and one under Gandhinagar PS).

The Commissioner said the accused not only commits property offences, but also commits bodily offences. On February 11 this year, he attempted to murder one Shaik Amiar by stabbing with a knife when the former requested him to return an amount of Rs 5,000 which he borrowed. The desperado also threatened to murder two persons alleging that they were responsible for passing on information to the police about his illegal activities under Nampally Police Station limits. On March 19, 2018, the accused waylaid complainant Mohd Rizwan and snatched away his Santro Car. (NSS)
