Nowhera Shaikh’s Heera Gold Group Case: Names of terror suspects surface during probe

Hyderabad: New shocking details came to light in Nowhera Shaikh’s Heera Gold Group case. Terror suspects had allegedly invested in Heera Gold Group.

According to the report published in DC, Hyderabad Central Crime Station Police also obtained names of some suspects from Central Security agencies.

Police suspects that persons who are involved in criminal activates had invested in Heera Gold Group. These persons are linked to extremist activities. The investments were received in the form of foreign funds.

Giving the details, Mr. Avinash Mohanty, DCP, Detective Dept. said that names of 10-15 persons who are involved in extremist activities are found during the investigation.

The DCP also said that there are investors who have invested huge amounts despite meager incomes.

He further said that the group had collected the money from the investors and deposited it in around 170 bank accounts.

It may be mentioned that Andhra Pradesh Police on Thursday arrested Nowhera Shaikh, the Managing Director of the Hyderabad-based Heera Gold group, in a ponzi scheme case. The Crime Investigation Department (CID) took the entrepreneur-politician into its custody in Chittoor district.
