NRC issue is becoming complicated day by day. Those who could not produce the required documents will be declared Bangladeshi. They will be removed from the citizens’ list. Obviously, Bangladesh will not accept them as its citizens nor can they be repatriated from the country. But as they will not be considered as citizens they will lose their right to acquire property and employment. In this condition what will be the future of their children?
The draft list released on July 30 doesn’t have names of 40 lakh people of Assam. If such a large number of people will be declared foreigners what effect this will have on Assam and rest of the country? Even the Supreme Court has expressed concern over the situation.
Political parties and groups, who tried to take political mileage of the issue, are responsible for the present situation.
