Officials fail to implement CM’s promises, only 11 fulfilled out of 44

Hyderabad: The implementation process of the promises made by CM of TS, Mr. KCR has been very slow.

It may be mentioned that in the Assembly, Mr. KCR had made 44 promises for the welfare of minorities, out of which only 11 were implemented.

Chief Secretary had convened a meeting of the officials of the Dept. of Minorities Welfare to review the process of implementation of the promises CM had made in the Assembly. The report presented to Chief Secretary is not very encouraging.

The then Secretary of the Dept. of Minorities Welfare, Mr. Syed Omer Jaleel had prepared a report of the assurances given by CM. It indicates that there are 24 assurances for which letters were written to concerned departments but GO was issued only for one assurance.

Constitution of Wakf Tribunal, Overseas Scholarship Scheme, acquisition of land for Anees ur Ghuraba Complex, Shadi Mubarak Scheme, Upgradation of Falaknuma and Chanchalguda Junior Colleges, Declaring Urdu as second official language, Giving facilities to minorities on par with SCs and STs are the schemes which have been implemented.

Finance Dept. set aside the proposal to include Overseas Scholarship Scheme in green channel. Taking over of 40 self-financing courses, construction of ramp at Pahadishareef Dargah, development of Wakf land under Dargah Barhana Shah, regularization of Wakf records with revenue entries, payment of arrears of fee reimbursement, Ramadan and Christmas holidays for the minority workers of Singarini collieries, recruitment of 900 teachers for Urdu medium schools, grants to pilgrims going to Jerusalem are the assurances which remain unfulfilled.

It is reported that Mr. KCR had issued instructions to officials for the release orders on these assurances.

It may be noted that CM had given an assurance in the budget session of the Assembly that orders will be issues on the assurances given by him within two days but it don’t happen so far.
