Old City cops allowed female dancer at function, punished

Hyderabad: Extravagant gala marriage functions are common in Muslim-dominated old city, where woman dancer, live orchestra, DJ music bands were common.

As per reports published in Times of India, a charge memos issued against Shalibanda Inspector and a Sub-Inspector (SI) for allowing live orchestra with a female dancer during a Valima function in Old City.

The event took place two days ago where female dancer gave live performance during a Valima function at Akbar Function hall in Old City, which does not go well with the guest.

Therefore the eye-witnesses alerted the DCP, South Zone, about the rule violation.

V Satyanarayana, Deputy Commissioner of police (DCP), South Zone issued charge memos to Shalibanda Inspector S Maheswar and SI K Prathap Reddy on Tuesday, while attaching ASI Sabeer Hussain, constable Nayeemuddin and home guard Shareef to the City Armed Reserve (CAR) for allowing live orchestra for not carrying out their duties properly.
