One Gurukul School in every mandal, CM earmarks Rs 8700 crore

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today said his government will set up one gurukul school in every mandal to provide quality education and better life for students as part of its plan for Bangaru Telangana.

The Chief Minister was replying after a discussion in the house on Gurukul schools and colleges. Congress member Komatireddy Venkat Reddy took a dig at the government for failing to provide basic amenities in the Gurukul institutions in Nalgonda and other districts. He also sought to know how it will become Banguru Telangana when the schools were deprived of facilities and staff.

Intervening, KCR said the previous Congress governments ruined Education sector and the TRS dispensation was reviving it with adequate funds. “Overnight nothing will happen and we are on the path to achieve golden Telangana State”, KCR stated. The Leader of the House also said he cannot do anything if the Congress members could not see development. “Is it not true that the TRS Government surpassed hurdles in power sector and filled the lights of power everywhere in the State and giving power to farm sector”, he said.

The Chief Minister also said the previous governments had deliberately neglected various fields and Education was put on a backburner. The TRS government launched 30 gurukul colleges and planning to spend Rs 8,700 crore for Gurukul schools by 2027. (NSS
