One held for carrying LSD drug

Hyderabad: Today Task Force personnel nabbed one Shishir Chauhan and seized 37 LSD stamps, ganja and one cell phone from his possession.

Police said accused residing at Shubodaya Apartments in R.K.Puram was in the habit of consume LSD stamps and ganja. He used to go to Goa and purchase LSD drug stamps for personal consumption as well as to sell the same in Hyderabad for higher rates for students/customers. He used to purchase one LSD drug stamp for Rs 600 to 700 and used to sell the same in Hyderabad for Rs 1,500 to Rs 1,800 per stamp.

Police said Shishir Chauhan was apprehended by West Zone Task Force team and recovered 100 LSD drug stamps and 40 gram Charas from his possession and handed over him to Anti Narcotic Cell, CCS, Hyderabad. The Anti Narcotic Cell sent the accused to Chanchalguda Jail. After 20 days he was released from jail and hatched a plan to sell LSD stamps in Hyderabad.

Following tip-off, the West Zone Task Force police laid a trap and apprehended the accused while he was selling LSD Stamps at Trimulgherry crossroads. He was handed over to SHO, Trimulgherry PS, Hyderabad, for further action.
The arrests were made under the supervision of P. Radha Kishan Rao, DCP, Commissioner’s Task Force, B. Gattu Mallu, Inspector and SIs V. Kishore, P. Mallikarjun, M. Prabhakar Reddy, L. Bhaskar Reddy and staff of West Zone Team. (NSS)
