One year of demonetization, Congress to organize black day – Rally at People’s Plaza

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee has decided to organize a black day on 8th November at People’s Plaza located at Necklace Road, Hyderabad on the occasion of completion of one year of demonetization.

A protest meeting will also be held in which all the senior Congressmen would participate. Speaking to newsmen, a former minister, Mr. D. Nagender told that by announcing demonetization, PM Modi had disturbed the whole economy of the country.

The statue of Ms. Indira Gandhi located at Necklace road would be garlanded and a protest rally would be started from there which would end at People’s Plaza to form a public meeting.

In charge Secretary of TS Congress, RC Kuntaiah, PCC President, Capt. Uttam Kumar Reddy, working president, Vikramarak, leader of opposition in Assembly, Mr. Jana Reddy, leader of opposition in Council, Mr. Mohammed Ali Shabbir and other Congress leaders will speak on this occasion.

Protest meetings and rallies will also be arranged on 8th November in the entire State.

It may be mentioned that former PM, Dr. Manmohan Singh had introduced a progressive economic policy which benefited the country but Mr. Modi announced demonetization only to benefit a handful of industrialists which resulted in increasing the worries of the common man. PM had sought 50 days respite but even after the lapse of one year, the economic situation of the country did not improve. As a result of the closure of industries, many people have become unemployed.
