Age Limit: 21 to 25 Years as on 1st January 2017. The upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years in case of SC, ST, SEBC and Women Candidates.

Scale of Pay: A consolidate pay of ₹ 9300 – 34800/- and Grade Pay of ₹ 4200/- (Pre-revised) subject to revision by the Government from time to time.

Educational Qualification: For Minimum Graduate Degree in any discipline from a Govt. Recognized University provided that for the post of Station Officer (Fire Service), a candidates must be a Science or Engineering Graduate from a recognized University or Institution.

Eligibility:

(1) Nationality – Must be a citizen of India.

(2) Knowledge in Odia – He shall be able to speak, read and write odia and must have passed (a) Middle School examination with Odia as a language subject; or

(b) Matriculation or equivalent examination with Odia as medium of examination in language subject: or

(c) Passed in odia as language subject in the final examination of Class-VII or above; or (d) Passed a test in Odia in Middle English School Standard conducted by the Board of Secondary Education. Odisha.

(3) Marital Status  – A candidate if married must not have more than one spouse living:

(4) Physical Fitness – A candidate must be of good mental condition, healthy and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the discharge of his duties in the service.

A candidate, who after such medical examination as the Government may prescribe, is not found to satisfy these requirements shall not be appointed to the service. Physically handicapped persons shall not be eligible for recruitment under these services.

Examination Fee: ₹ 100/- (can be remitted online through Odisha Treasury Portal (e-chalan) or Treasury Challan in any Treasury/ Sub-Treasury under the prescribed Head of Account. “0051-PSC-104-UPSC/SSC-Examination Fees-0047-Fees collected for conducting examinations-02041-Examination Fees”.

The ST, SC and PWD candidates are exempted from paying any examination fee.

Selection Process: Preliminary Examination, Physical Measurement and Physical Test, Main Written Examination, Viva Voce and Psychological Test.

Age Limit: The minimum age for the post is 18 years and the maximum age is 32 years as on 01-01-2017. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for candidates belonging to SEBC, SC, ST & all Women candidates, 10 years for candidates belonging to PWD category & the total period of service rendered in defence service in case of Ex-servicemen.

Educational Qualification:

(1) Higher Secondary school (Matric with +2 Arts/ Science/ Commerce) certificate Examination or equivalent School leaving Examination of a recognised Board/ Council. (AND)

(2) Possess a minimum speed of eighty words per minute in Shorthand both in English and Odia.

Examination Fee: Candidates belonging to General and OBC Category are required to pay ₹ 100/-. The fees can be deposited either through online or offline mode using the Treasury Portal or by the conventional mode of deposit in the Treasury.
