Over 60 Taliban terrorists killed by Afghan Forces

Wardak: Over 60 Taliban terrorists have been killed in operations undertaken by the Afghan Special Forces along with air strikes in the past 24 hours across Afghanistan.

Quoting sources, Khaama Press reported that 29 Taliban terrorists were killed during operations conducted in the districts of Baraki Barak and Charkh in Logar and the Sayyidabad district of Wardak province. One Taliban commander was wounded, while one vehicle-borne Improvised Explosive Device was destroyed in the attacks in Logar district.

“The Afghan Special Forces also conducted a search operation of a suspected weapons cache in Ahmadabad district of Paktika province and discovered one magnetic mine and 16 mine controllers,” the source added.

“The bomb-making material was removed from the site and destroyed to prevent it from being used in the surrounding village and wounding non-combatants,” they said.

Beyond this, the Afghan Special Forces also conducted a separate operation along the highway in Samangam which killed four Taliban terrorists along with injuring three others.

Similar strikes were carried out in Nowzad and Musa Qal’ah districts in Helmand, and Tarink city in Uruzgan province which killed 12 militants. A radio tower, belonging to the Taliban, and another IED were also destroyed during the assault.
