Owaisi says congress crossed all limits

Hyderabad: Floor Leader of MIM Akbaruddin Owaisi described yesterday’s happening in the Telangana Assembly as a “black day” for democratic and legislative values.

Supporting the action initiated against the Congress members for their “unruly and violent acts” in the House, Owaisi said every member has a right to protest as enshrined in democracy , but there should be a limit for expressing protests and ventilating grievances. However, yesterday it had crossed all the limits, he observed.

The MIM leader charged that the Congress was becoming frustrated as the party has been declining and loosing every where and as a result innocent people were being lynched. Thus the Congress members might have tried to lynch in this august House also, he quipped and added that but for the presence of the Marshals even the Governor would have been lynched.

Owaisi urged the Speaker to strictly implement a rule to prevent display of placards and storming into the well of the House. When the facility of mikes are provided for expressing any protest or grievance, where is the need for display of placards, he quipped and added that acts of “rowdyism as witnessed yesterday” should not be tolerated. He also wanted

the Speaker to make a rule to prevent telecasting of placards and other form of protests in the well of the House. (NSS).
